Hi, Britechguy's comments reflect my own experience the OP has not responded to the question of how this effects ongoing performance, and while I support Mark Russinovich's work, ( a good student) I don't think process explorer will help at all, unless you explain how to use it's advanced features, which in this case most likely are not needed. If that's ok, then I would suggest you download Process Explorer from the following site: Press your Windows Key and type View advanced system settings and hit your Enter key.Ĭlick the tabs and buttons as numbered in the example image belowĮnsure your Virtual Memory is set to "Automatically manage paging file size for all drives" as shown in the third image above. If nothing bad shows up there, I'd next suggest checking your Virtual Memory settings. Look in "Windows Logs" > "System" for any Disk related errors. A possibility could be a failing hard drive or some sectors have gone bad - have you run a test on it? Take a look in Windows Event Viewer. Looking at your posted specs, I see ample RAM, a decent CPU and GPU so this is definitely out of the norm. Tried disabling preftech, windows search and startup items but it doesn't help.
I checked in the task manager and couldn't find any applications which were not normal. Hi guys, I am facing a unique issue in my Lenovo Windows 10 laptop, at startup there is always 100% usage of disk for starting 15-20 minutes.
